ANSI, or the American National Standards Institute, has been coordinating United States voluntary standards and a system for conformity assessment since 1918. As the only United States representative of two international standards organizations, including the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO, ANSI is particularly suited to helping global implementation of U.S. research- and industry-based updates on useful standards for voluntary safety compliance. The organization directly affects our inventory.
